Chapter 1
Chapter 2

“Ne...Why is Shige’s face all red?” Koyama smiles as he pokes the other’s cheek lightly.

Shige blinks before shaking his head. “N-nothing.”

“But your cheeks were really red.” Koyama pressed on.

“I said it’s nothing!” Shige stands up suddenly.

“Ok ok.” Koyama tries not to start another argument. “I believe you.”

The younger boy looks at the band aid before blushing even harder. He looks down at the green grass growing beneath his small feet. Feeling a little awkward, nervous, and happy combined. “T-thank you.”

“No problem.” Koyama grins softly as he shakes his head from side to side making his hair flip back and forth in the process as he stands up also.

Shige saw that little gesture and blinked in awe.

“No no no no.” Yamapi laughs. “You’re doing it wrong.”

Shige takes a deep breath to calm his nerves. “I told you I wasn’t any good.”

“Yes, but I didn’t think you were this bad.” Yamapi stands up from where he was sitting on a comfy leather chair to go over to Shige’s side. “Try letting the music flow through your system and once you got the hang of it…move your body.”

“Yes, but every time I do it’s wrong to you.” Shige mumbled.

“Not this time.” Yamapi replies taking a hold of the younger boy’s hand and rested the other one on Shige’s waist. The other automatically placed his hand on Yamapi’s shoulders. “Now follow my lead.”

One of the maids began the music again and Shige let Yamapi lead. It was a different feeling than him leading one of the female servants around to the music. The music was soft and gentle, Yamapi’s movements went with the song making Shige smile softly and just admire his owner more. He really was lucky to have such a caring owner.

The song ended and Yamapi kissed Shige on the lips softly. “You are better off being the girl.”

Shige blushed. “Y-Ya-Yamashita-san…”

“Excuse me, but you have a guest downstairs Yamashita-san.” One of the maids interrupted.

Yamapi let go of Shige. “Alright then, I want Shige to try on his chosen outfits for tomorrow.” He faced the younger one. “When you try on the first outfit come downstairs to the living room to show me.”

The maids rushed Shige into a different room not too far from where his dancing lessons were at. The women seemed to have fun dressing him up in weird ways that Shige didn’t like. After a few minutes of random clothes being thrown on him, Shige decided to go with one outfit just to see what Yamapi would say.

Shige makes his way downstairs while trying to remember where the living room was at. The mansion is huge and Shige swears that the place gets bigger and bigger each day. Once downstairs, the young boy turns left to head down a hallway. Hearing some voices at the end of the hall, Shige walked up to the only opened door and was about to go in but stopped in his tracks.

There sitting across from Yamapi was none other than Koyama Keiichiro.

The young boy quickly steps to the side and leans against the wall there. Heart racing, mind reeling, and ears ringing Shige tries to control his breathing. What were the odds of Koyama being at Yamapi’s house? He puts his hand over his heart to try to stop the fast pace, but only to realize that he wasn’t wearing the necklace.

What should he do? He couldn’t walk in because it would be so awkward. Shige promised to find Koyama once he got out and try to return the necklace. If he were to walk in then that promise would be broken. Every attempt of him trying to escape that horrible whorehouse would be pointless.

Shige felt tears well up in his eyes when he heard Koyama laugh. His precious Kei-chan, just a short distance away, was enjoying himself. Did the other forget about him?

He couldn’t take it. He wiped his tears and cautiously looked in the room so he wouldn’t be seen. Koyama looked good and healthy. He was a little tanned and his hair was a chestnut brown to contrast the tan. The smile never left him. It’s still the same like it was all those years ago. Koyama's eyes were beautiful. Almond shaped eyes with chocolate brown orbs. Shige had to look away or else he would do something that he's not ready for. He leaned against the wall so he couldn't be seen.

"So you're coming to the party tonight?" Yamapi's calm voice floated to Shige's ears.

"Of course I am." Koyama's voice was gentle, somewhat high pitched and deep at the same time. "It's Tegoshi's birthday."

"Good." Yamapi laughed. "You can meet my slave that I bought a few months ago. He's really nice. I think you'll like him."

There was a pause that seemed to last forever. Shige's heart sank at Koyama's next softly spoken words, "I'm sure."

"Ah!" Yamapi seemed to remember something. "Oh, Kei-chan I'm sorry! I forgot that you lost a friend to the whore business."

Kei-chan Shige thought sadly.

"It's ok." Koyama's voice sounded convincing. "I almost have enough to get him out. Next month's check would make me have two million. If that's not enough I'll give that boss my business as well."

"You would do anything for your friend, ne?"

"Yes I would."

Shige couldn't take it. He ran down the hallway to go back up the stairs. He searched for his room and once he found it, he ran to grab the necklace before lying on his bed. He cried into his pillow. He couldn't believe it. Koyama was saving up to get him out and he has forgotten about him more times than he can count.

"Kei-chan..." Shige sobs tightening the hold on the necklace. "I'm sorry."

“The only way out is for someone to buy me.” The younger boy explained. “If that’s the case I could be at this horrible place forever.”

The older friend didn’t say anything for a while. Shige didn’t mind because he was still crying. Once the final tear has fallen, Koyama pulled away from the embrace to look down at the younger boy. Shige stared back in wonder.

Koyama reached out and traced Shige’s cheek. “I wish I could take away your pain.”

Shige’s heart raced and he felt his face heat up. “K-kei-chan?”

"We have a promise remember?" Koyama pulled Shige back into a hug. "You have three more years and I have two. We can do this. I'll try to save up as much as I can to get you out."

"No." Shige shook his head. "Don't do all that for me. I'll find a way out."

Koyama frowned. "But they hurt you."

“I’ll just think of a way to get out so next time I won’t get caught.” Shige explains determinedly.

“Shige…” A voice in the distance called out. “Shige?” The voice seemed to be getting louder. It sounded like…Yamapi? “Shige!”

The young boy woke up with a start. He must’ve cried himself to sleep. “Y-yama-“

“Are you ok?” Yamapi pushed back some of Shige’s bangs to feel his forehead. “Are you sick? You seem to be hot.”

Shige blinked in confusion. “W-what?” He looked out the window to see the sun getting ready to set. “I fell asleep?”

“I was waiting for you after my guest left to get ready for the party.” Yamapi explained. “You never came down and I just found you. What’s wrong?”

The younger boy remembered Koyama and felt his heart tug unpleasantly. He looked down at the necklace that was still tightly clasped in his hand. Slowly opening up his hand since it hurt that he held it for so long, Shige put the necklace back on the nightstand. This action did not go unnoticed by Yamapi.

“Is it that person?” Yamapi said softly.

Shige nodded.

“Well, some of the guests showed up already. Maybe that person is one of them?”

“No.” Shige shook his head. “I’m not going. Please…don’t make me go.”

Yamapi looked hurt. “But I want you to be there.”

The younger boy didn’t respond but buried his head into his pillow. He felt Yamapi get up and head towards the door. He thought his owner had left for the party but was wrong when he heard footsteps going over to his nightstand and metal scrapping against wood.

Alarmed, Shige looked up to see his necklace gone and Yamapi heading for the window. The owner opened the window and threw the necklace as far as he could. “Yamashita-san! No!” Shige’s voice was hoarse from crying and shock as he pushed his owner aside to see if the necklace was anywhere near sight.

The necklace was a little ways down the garden and one of the maids setting up the party picked it up before looking up at the window. “What do you want me to do with this, Yamashita-san?”

“Give it bac-!” Shige’s mouth was covered by Yamapi’s strong hand.

“Throw it out! I don’t want to see it ever again!” Yamapi replied before shutting the window firmly.

Shige was beyond confused. Why would the other be doing this? He pushed Yamapi’s hand away from his mouth and was about to yell at the other but Yamapi kissed him tensely. He felt his knees hit the side of the bed and they fell on the bed with Yamapi’s body hovering over Shige’s. The kiss ended with them pulling apart taking big gulps of air.

“Am I not enough?” Yamapi’s voice was rough. He leaned down to start another kiss but Shige turned his head away so the older one just rested his head next to the sex slave. Shige saw Yamapi’s hand clench the bed sheets so hard that his hand shook. “Am I not enough?”

Shige has a feeling that the question was not meant for him.

“Where did you get the necklace?” Shige asked as he traced the golden chain with his fingertips.

“I bought it on my own with the money I saved up.” Koyama explained sounding so proud of himself. “The owner was so nice. He gave me a discount and he said some weird things that I can’t really remember.”

“What did he say?” Shige asked.

“Something like…run with your eyes closed. Or…sing a song that only you and one other person can hear. Well, at least I think that’s what he said.” Koyama shrugged.

Shige giggled. “That does sound weird.

“But I like this necklace so much. I feel like it was made for me for some odd reason.”

“It suits you so much.” Shige agreed.

Footsteps can be heard coming towards their door. Neither of them wanted to leave. They wanted to stay like that forever and a lifetime. “Kei-chan…” Shige felt tears forming. “I don’t want you to leave me.”

Koyama was silent as he hugged his younger friend for the last time. Keys can be heard trying to unlock the door when Koyama pulled back to stare into Shige’s eyes. “Don’t cry...that makes my heart break.”

Shige sniffed trying to hold the tears in. “I want you to stay longer.”

“I will.” Koyama nodded. “I always will.”

Shige blinked.

“Take this.” Koyama took off the necklace he was wearing and handed it to his friend. “I want you to have it.”

Shige took the expensive looking necklace. “Kei-chan?”

“So you can remember me.” Koyama shrugged before smiling. “It could give you a reason to escape since I’m banned from the company.”

“Sou ka.” Shige smiled as he hugged his friend. “I’ll never forget you, and someday I will escape to return it to you.”

“I’ll be waiting.” Koyama stared deeply into Shige’s eyes before the door opened and the guards walking in.

Shige didn’t go to the party and Yamapi went without him. He just couldn’t go out there risking the chance that he could run into Koyama at any moment. After what happened to the necklace, Shige really didn’t want to face Koyama. If only he can get it back…

The young boy blinked. He couldn’t just let that necklace go. He had to find it or else it will forever haunt his mind. He made a promise, two promises to be accurate, and he can’t give up now after all he went through. Plus it meant a lot to Koyama at the time and he just let Yamapi throw it out the window like that.

Shige got up and dressed for the party and made sure he wore a hat to disguise himself. Once he was satisfied, he left his room to go downstairs to the garden where the party was held. Opening the glass door to the garden, Shige was immediately greeted by jazz music and people laughing and drinking to their heart’s content.

He scanned to see if Yamapi or Koyama were anywhere to be found and noticed the two were nowhere in sight. Taking it as a good thing, Shige began looking for the maid that picked up the necklace. The party was crowded and most of the people were drunk so Shige couldn’t ask if they seen the maid anywhere. Some of the guest used to go to the whorehouse, and Shige shivered when he recognized some of them.

The maid was serving drinks at the bar when Shige spotted her. He jogged up to her and asked her about the necklace. She said she threw it out like the owner said to and now the necklace was probably picked up by the trash truck that came by an hour ago so the necklace was most likely gone by now. Shige was so upset by the news that he kicked the table that had the shot glasses on it to the ground making everything shatter.

He quickly got into his room before he became suspicious. Shige didn’t know what to do. The necklace was at the dump yard by now. Picturing Koyama’s sad face in his mind, Shige changed into more comfortable clothes. Next stop was the junk yard, another obstacle to overcome.

“Kei-chan.” Shige’s heart leaped as he took a deep breath. He couldn’t believe he was doing this as he took out a piece of paper and wrote a quick note to Yamapi saying he was running away. Folding the note and leaving it on the nightstand, Shige walked up to the window.

He stood up straight before the window and looked down at crowd in the party. Shortly after, he spotted Koyama laughing with people that Shige never seen before. Taking another deep breath in determination, Shige smiled down at the unknowing Koyama. “I’ll be back with my promise in my hand.” He brought his hand to his lips, softly kissed it before blowing the kiss in Koyama’s direction.

With that done, Shige left his room and the mansion to accomplish his promise.
