Writing on a vow of love

Before this tale is told…I must warn you that this world is like nothing else you can imagine…

Everything in this world was made with another. There was no such thing as something alone. No emotion was left by itself. Each creation has a partner and something to bind to.

Passionate… indifferent…

Love…hate…

Hot…cold…

Happy…sad…

Dramatic…laid back…

Each spirit has a light which consumes its energy and that light cannot go out. But if it doesn’t go out the light can live for all eternally. The light has to connect to its opposite before it would be too late. The energy would wear itself out until it can sense it’s other half and be bound to it. If time runs out the light would fade and once it fades completely it would die. None of the spirits wants to die willingly.

My name is Nishikido Ryo and I feel myself dying. I have not found my other half and I’m scared. Not a lot of us die from the lack of finding the other partner……

But…

They do not have my problem. My partner isn’t created yet. Most of them laugh at me saying that I have this theory. My friends support me the best they can but at some point it’s going to end. I feel it.

Our energy transforms into spirits that form images of shape. We look like humans and have emotions like them like on that planet earth. Our environment is the same too so our kind just call us the parallel planet. Except we don’t waste our time with money and such things and plus we live much longer if we find our opposite.

Ryo is walking along side the rich blue sea. The waves would come in making his feet cold before washing its way back to the ocean. He sighs out longing for his partner. It could be anywhere or not here at all. He waited for three weeks straight and no sign of the other side of him.

We have a place that the lights go to find their partner. It’s like a huge mansion and it’s opened all day and all night. I stayed there for a whole week and constantly checked to see if there was anyone new. No such luck there at all…

Maybe I should try again tonight?

Looking out into the ocean with a sad smile, Ryo shook his head. “I don’t think I can handle another night without my other half.”
